IT in Mandoulides Schools has always been and remains is a priority. Every technological development that can help our children with their journey to knowledge is in harmony with the school curriculum and works towards their benefit. This is also manifested by the outstanding achievements of our students in International and Balkan Olympiads.
“Teach the latest knowledge” - Democritus
More specifically by using the modern laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art tools that are constantly being updated, we are expanding the supply of educational work by teaching Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Junior – Senior High School in the following areas:
Personalized information for each student, where he/she can find educational material, his / her progress and tests as well as useful information on school programs, competitions and events. On my Mandoulides, every student has access to a huge database of interactive educational material (e-books, notes, educational videos, competitions, up-to-date scientific articles).
Through his / her personal account, every junior high school student has access to Office365 and can save and share work with other students and teachers and collaborate as a team to develop a variety of educational projects.
Through the IT courses, all junior high school students are given the opportunity to prepare for and pass the KeyCERT computer certification exams in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet. The KeyCERT is a necessary qualification in Greece and Europe and certifies computer literacy.
Through proper preparation, junior and senior high school students are given the opportunity to participate in the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship and claim a place in the team that represents Greece in the World Finals, which take place in the U.S. every year.
A comprehensive 4-week program where junior high school students learn how to code in Python, build their own programs, are asked to solve problems, and finally, after being evaluated, participate in the Camp final for the best programming team.
Students prepare in advanced computer programming topics and participate in the Panhellenic IT Competition while they also gain distinctions and receive awards in International and Balkan Olympiads.
The programs are mainly aimed at junior-senior high school students of the Schools and of other public and private schools in the city. The main objective is to bring children closer to the world of IT (Computer Epathlon & Hackathlon), Natural Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy) and Art. Computer Epathlon & Hackathlon teaches programming through innovative applications such as Python, Minecraft Education Edition, AppInventor with which students can create their own games and applications.
Participation in innovative programs and support of the educational process through asynchronous e-learning video lessons:
- Case Studies
- Watch & Learn
- Flipped Classroom.
which require the use of ICT in education.
International programs that teach programming, code writing and applications building for computers and mobile applications, even for beginners.
UX, that is User Experience, refers to the overall experience that a site or application provides to the user. Customer satisfaction and positive experience after visiting the website of a company is critical to the success of e-business and even more so of e-commerce.
In the UX and Product Design club, our students have the unique opportunity to come into contact with areas of knowledge within the concept of “User Experience” as well as methods, procedures and strategies followed by successful digital platforms we use every day, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Uber, Facebook, to improve their services or create new ones.
Computer programming, image processing, creating online newspapers and websites, office automation (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and databases).
Students prepare in advanced computer programming topics and participate in the Panhellenic competitions of the Hellenic Computer Science and Technology Association. Students who excel take part in the Balkan and International Olympiads in Informatics.
Students prepare in advanced robotics topics in order to participate in the First Lego League competition, an Educational Robotics competition where they are asked to provide solutions by undertaking a “mission” to build and program a robot.
Creation of innovative research papers and participation in student conferences and competitions.

Mandoulides Schools’ objective is constantly to improve students’ knowledge of foreign languages, so that they can become fluent in them and successfully respond to the world’s growing demand for multilingualism by acquiring foreign language certification.

Corporate Programs are career orientation programs based on the principles of experiential learning where participants learn through observation and interaction with executives of an organization or a company.
The programs last four weeks and are divided into two phases. In the first phase, students are introduced to the basic principles of operation of a company while in the second phase they acquire experiential experience on its premises on a daily basis, participating in meetings and dialogues with executives and thus familiarizing themselves with the subject.

The Schools, as part of School Vocational Guidance, collaborate with the innovative online Career Orientation Center “100mentors.” The program is aimed at students of 9th to 12th Grades who are close to selecting the profession they will follow, and will help them:
- Understand the value of the proper choice of studies and training to claim the profession they want
- Be exposed to a wealth of professional choices and prospects
- Become aware of the need for ongoing training so that they can keep track of constantly evolving expertise
- Develop into individuals who will be satisfied with their job in the future.

Workshop on Experiential Vocational Guidance
Mandoulides Schools organized an online workshop entitled "Success Stories", within the framework of the Experiential School Vocational Guidance programs, on Thursday, March 18, 2021, from 11:30 to 13:00.
The workshop was attended by 9th, 10th and 11th Grade students.
During the day, selected representatives of the scientific and business world talked to the students
· Nikos Kapravelos, Manager of the 2nd Intensive Care Unit of the Papanikolaou Hospital
· Vasilis Lolos, Co- founder and Technical Advisor of the Schoox company.
· Nikos Papapetrou ’97, General Manager in the Department of Renewable Energy Development and Energy Storage
The conversation was hosted by the reporter Mr. Kostas Bliatkas.
The purpose of the workshop was to introduce students to the social role of the scientist, the business world and the connection of the job market with knowledge, school and university.
Through discussion and fruitful dialogue with distinguished scientists and entrepreneurs, students formed their own opinions of the current relationship between university and business as well as for their suitable professional orientation, as is provided by Mandoulides Schools (Entrepreneurship Programs, 100 Mentors, Three-Day School Vocational Orientation, Virtual Business).

Experiential Vocational Guidance Meeting 2019
Dr. Stratis Pattakos, Heart Surgeon at Ygeia Hospital, Ms. Dimitra Tsiora - Papaioannou, Architectural Engineer, Editor of Ktirio magazine and Mr. Dimitris Lakasas, Olympia Electronics, spoke to Mandoulides Schools students about the current scientific, technological and professional requirements in their fields and explained the reasons why their personal journey has been a “success story”.
The discussion took place at the Cultural Center of the Schools as part of the “Success Stories” seminar, which aimed at getting the students acquainted with the social role of the scientist, the business world and the connection of the labor market with knowledge as well as school and university studies.
Students of 9th, 10th and 11th Grade took an active part in the seminar with their questions and interventions, within the framework of Experiential Vocational School Guidance programs.
The discussion was coordinated by journalist, Konstantinos Bliatkas.
The seminar was presented by the General Director of Mandoulides Schools, Mrs. Aspa Hasioti, while Mandoulides Schools CEO, Mrs. Aikaterini Mantoulidou greeted the event.
